China’s Economic Boost Lifts Copper Prices as LME Copper Surges Above $10,000 per Ton

On September 26, the Chinese Communist Party’s Politburo held a meeting to discuss the current economic situation and deploy next steps for economic work.

The meeting emphasized implementing existing policies while adding new ones to achieve the annual economic development goals.

Boosted by these efforts, LME copper prices rose by $268 to $10,080 per ton, surpassing the $10,000 mark for the first time since July. Analysts highlight that macroeconomic policies support real estate and copper consumption, while copper supply remains tight.
