Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) announced that it will begin exporting stainless steel to Japan starting in the second quarter of the 2024-25 fiscal year. According to Managing Director Abhyuday Jindal’s statement on July 31, the share of export sales in total sales for Q1 FY 2024-25 (April to June) dropped to 10%, down from 17% in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
This decline was attributed to increased European transportation routes and container shortages, prompting JSL to explore new markets, including Japan.
