In July, the production of steel plates and strips by key enterprises remained almost unchanged year-on-year. Medium-thick plate mill output slightly decreased, hot rolling mill output saw a small increase, and cold rolling mill output was stable. Among major plate products, container plates, boiler vessel plates, and shipbuilding plates showed significant year-on-year growth, while bridge plates and home appliance plates experienced a substantial decline. Prices for hot-rolled and cold-rolled products continued to fall.
From January to July, steel plate and strip production by key enterprises slightly increased year-on-year. Container plates, shipbuilding plates, and automotive plates maintained rapid growth in cumulative output, while bridge plates experienced a sharp decline.
