According to Mining.com, Sitka Gold Corp. has intersected multiple zones of near-surface high-grade gold mineralization at its RC Property in Yukon, Canada.
At the Contact zone, drill hole DDRCCC-25-113 returned 119 meters grading 1.09 g/t gold starting at 15 meters, including 10.7 meters at 4.1 g/t gold from 24 meters depth.
“This first round of diamond drilling at the Contact zone has produced very encouraging results, indicating substantial value in this high-grade gold section,” said Cor Coe, CEO of Sitka Gold.
Based on the latest data, Coe added that the Contact zone has now been elevated to a target priority, showing the Clear Creek Intrusive Complex still holds potential for millions of additional ounces of gold.
A Year of Strong Exploration Results
The results mark another highlight in what Sitka calls a “breakthrough exploration year.” In June, the company reported its first set of high-grade intercepts from the RC Property.
So far in 2025, Sitka has completed 32,000 meters of diamond drilling, with assays still pending for several holes, including those from the nearby Pukelman target, where visible gold was observed in multiple drill cores.
The Contact–Pukelman zone remains open in all directions. To date, the mineralized footprint has been outlined over 900 meters by 650 meters, extending 430 meters deep.
Assays are also pending for 46 additional drill holes from other targets — including Rhosgobel, Blackjack, Saddle, Eiger, Bear Paw, and MayQu.
Resource Overview
The RC Property lies within the Tombstone Gold Belt, approximately 100 km east of Dawson City, covering 431 square kilometers accessible via the Klondike Highway. Exploration has so far focused on intrusion-related gold systems.
Currently, the RC resource includes two deposits: Blackjack and Eiger.
Blackjack deposit: Indicated resource of 40 million tonnes grading 1.01 g/t gold (1.29 million oz) and inferred resource of 34.6 million tonnes grading 0.94 g/t gold (1.04 million oz).
Eiger deposit: Inferred resource of 27.4 million tonnes grading 0.5 g/t gold (0.44 million oz).
These results confirm the RC Property as one of the most promising gold exploration projects in the Yukon, with significant growth potential through ongoing drilling.
